Fifth Harmony Album Signing – Woodbridge, New Jersey

So today was the day I thought I was going to meet Fifth Harmony for the second time. Well… that really didn’t go as well as I planned. You see, they had an album signing and today they were releasing physical copies of their CD of their first album and it doesn’t even come out until Tuesday. They also said that the mall was going to sell 700, which was the most they ever had. So I told my Dad about it and he said he would take me. Today comes… we leave the house around six ten in the morning. Mind yourself that I live in Brooklyn. We had to take a bus to the Kings Highway train station, take that to Penn Station and then Penn Station to Woodbridge Train Station then take a cab to the mall. That took… I say maybe a good three hours because we got there at nine. I wanted to leave earlier but my Dad wouldn’t let me. Well, let’s just say, that didn’t end well.

I thought there were about 200 people there but I was so wrong. I waited on line for another three hours. Some of the girls we’re even singing BO$$ really loud because they had gotten speakers. SOome of these girls had really terrible voices by the way. You know, you have those nice, sweet fangirls that care about one another. Then there are those other ones we’re they’re just obnoxious and only care to get noticed by celebrities or they’re just crazy and obsessive… I saw ALL of that i ONE day. It was insane. Because they’re were some girls that were really nice and other’s that we’re really mean. Most of them were obviously from New Jersey and maybe a handle of the crowd were guys that we’re actual fangirls.

Then when we actually got to the store where they were selling the CD’s, (FYE) I was literally across from it. But then suddenly, they started to close the gate to the store. Everyone was so devastated. I didn’t cry that much, but I felt SOOO bad for this one girl. This girl, had to be around my age, was on the other side by the store. She was just about to go in until the cut the line off, saying that they we’re sold out of CD’s and wristbands. She literally started to bawl because probably waited even longer than I did and I felt terrible for her. Because I had already met them, so I felt terrible for her.

Afterwards, I was still upset but my Dad and I went downstairs to go see when the girls come. They wouldn’t let us wait on the sides because the mall had just opened and people we’re walking on the sides. So we all shoved ourselves in Century 21. Then the security guard came towards us and said rudely “You can’t block the entry way, it’s a fire hazard. People need to enter and exit.” and then there was this girl behind me who got really annoyed (like pissy annoyed) and then people kept doing it which got the security guard even more pissed. The second or third time he was like “What part of clear do you not understand?”

Then the girl behind me, once music started playing, she was being rude back to the security guard and was like singing Boss and Sledgehammer really loud back at him and everybody was looking over at her like she was insane (which I thought she was). (They also literally played the full album at least three times before they came in. It was originally supposed to start 12 but they had another radio station meet and greet and Q and A somewhere from what I saw on twitter). After a few more minutes of her singing loudly, and literally right into my ear, as well as her basically pushing me and grinding me with her jacket. Just as I was about to say something to her, they kicked us all out of the store and we waiting on the side anyway. I got see the girls come in only slightly until some girl pushed her way up front and I really just wanted to kill her right there because I was already upset and she was obnoxious and tall and blocking my view.

So me and my Dad went upstairs to see if we can get a better view of the girls but upstairs was already crowded as it is. But then my Dad asked this lady if I can stay were she was and she was really sweet and let me. My Dad let me stay there an hour or so watching the girls sign autographs to other people. But it was actually kind of fun up there, trying to get the girls attention. Ally waved to me and so did Dinah and Camila. Then, there was this guy that was across from me and he literally screamed “Ally!! I love you Ally! ALLY SLAY ME!” I couldn’t stop laughing and it made me feel a little bit better. When I was up there as well, there was this little girl standing next to me that didn’t get to meet them either and I felt bad for her too and I wanted to see them as much as possible. But I even got a lot of good pictures of them and a small video of them walking in until that girl blocked my view. It wasn’t that much of a pleasant experience but I have advice for you if you ever want to go to you’re favorite band or artist album signing:

Don’t go to a signing or meet and greet that is not near your city or town range unless you have a car. If you have to take buses and trains, leave EXTREMELY EARLY IF POSSIBLE. Also, beware of fangirls. We’re all nuts, we can’t help it. But there are some crazy ones out there. And I swear every time I come to one of these things, I’m the only one wearing their merchandise because if I met them, I was hoping they would recgonize me if I wore the same outfit I met them the first time (creepy, and a little stupid i know but I was just hopping to get noticed like a bunch of other girls we’re that day.) But I did feel happy when I saw some girls crying when they met the girls because they were shaking so badly when they left and crying as they came up to them, it was so cute. But take my advice or else don’t bother going unless you have a car. My Dad doesn’t drive and my Mom couldn’t take me cause she was sick and she would never do that sort of thing anyway. But if you have a car, go anywhere to your hearts content, it would make you’re life a thousand times easier. If you want to see pictures and videos, I posted all of them on my tumblr (the pictures) and some of the video on Instagram and I even posted some on my twitter. They’re all in the links in the side bar on the right side of the page if you want to go check out my experience.

Also what really made my day was when Ally, Dinah and Camila we’re all dancing to Reflection at one point. I also didn’t stay that long. My Dad made me leave an hour later or so and we had to catch the train to go back to penn station. At least I didn’t go their for nothing. And also, another band called Suite 44 was there. They’re really sweet if you talk to them on twitter @suite44music. I don’t know much about them yet until one of the band members, Michael, followed me on twitter. They actually performed before the girls came on. I didn’t get to see them because I was still waiting on line, but they weren’t bad at all. I’ll post one of their videos below 🙂 Well, guess that’s it for now. Some video’s from the signing as well as Suite 44’s video. Have you ever had an experience like mine? Leave a comment below and tell me your experience. I would love to hear about it and we can cry together in sorrow (lol) Love you guys ❤ (Also sorry for my finger in some of the shots)

Shawn Mendes – Thinking Out Loud (Ed Sheeran) cover

Oh my god this cover is literally heaven to my ears. Before I get into that though, let me tell you a little bit how I got to know Shawn. When I got tickets to Taylor Swift’s 1989 World Tour, I saw her opening acts were Vance Joy and Shawn Mendes. So I decided to check out Shawn on youtube and that’s where the magic happened. For those of you who don’t know, Shawn is a Canadian singer (with a very thick accent because at first I thought that he was Australian) and I thought “Well, whoever opens for Taylor must be really good.” (Because I have liked many of her opening acts before when I saw her live on her other tours) But anyways, Shawn tweeted this cover of Ed Sheeran’s song that he played on Sirius XM. When he started playing, it echoed throughout the place. Which I think really set the tone for the song. And his voice is literally perfect for that type of song. He cleared his throat a little bit after the first sentence, but that doesn’t really matter. The way he plays guitar is so magical and he hits the notes clearly. I think we all know Ed Sheeran’s song but I’m going to post both of them anyway. I still can’t get over how heavenly and magical Shawn’s voice sounds like. Shawn also has a first/new album that you can start pre-ording on Feburary 2nd. I’ll have a seperate post for Shawn’s own music later on. Shawn just recently put this up as a twitter post on his twitter @Shawn_Mendes. He’s amazing and definitely an artists to get into. And he’s only 16 as well as being so talented!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTY2Wcq04lI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lp-EO5I60KA

Tests

I’m in school…. at 8:00am…. just to take a damn rejent. Do any of you take rejents or like final exams like me? Ever failed them? Well, I’m a Senior in High School and this is my THIRD TIME taking this Global History rejent. I wish I could keep the test so I can rip it to shreds, throw it in the fire and make the ashes turn into smoke.

I’m not the only one thats failed it because it is so hard and terrible. But I’m surrounded… by juniors and sophmores. Hope someone kills me so I don’t have to take this test. And I haven’t studied the material since sophmore year.

And there’s an essay part! I did well about that the second time…. but I’m probably gonna guess everything and wing it again. I’m kind of stressed out though and get it over it. Do you do anything for tests? Have you taken the same thing twice or maybe even more??

The Maze Runner

Ok, since I feel like this is the most recent book that has been turned into a movie, I decided to make this my first review. So, I am practically obsessed with The Maze Runner (btw, I’ll probably say I’m obsessed with most things, but I’m trying to break that habit down to a few things.) It is definitely up there as one of my favorite books of all time. James Dashner is definitely an amazing writer, probably one of the best authors I’ve ever read work from. My favorite character is Newt. He will forever and always be in my heart. In the book, he was just so cute and adorable and I loved him ever since he was introduced to Thomas. For those of you who don’t know this book, the characters consist of Thomas, Minho, Newt, Alby, Teresa, Gally, Chuck, Fry Pan (minor character) and a lot of other minor characters in the story.

For those of you who don’t know this story, (which you probably should definitely get to read because you don’t know what you’re missing) It’s basically about how the Sun has scorched the world, leaving famine and disease to Earth. While this was happening, the government would take a bunch kids from different age and authentic groups, most of them being boys, whipped of their memory and sent into place of not knowing anything of their past and who they were before, enter a maze. The maze is filled with boys at different ages and one boy who is only around the age of at least 13, to survive the maze and try to find the way out without getting themselves killed. A basic experiment to see how the boys handle the maze and the disease that is brought to them by these monsters called Grievers. I don’t want to give most of it away from the description, you’ll just have to read and see for yourself what happens next 🙂

When this book first came out, I did actually buy it but I read like a first couple of pages and got bored of it easily. I guess because I really didn’t give it a chance and I was young when it came actually came out. But when the movie trailer came out and one of my favorite actors, which is Dylan O’Brien, was in it, I just had to see it. It did look interesting as well. But since it was a book made into the movie, I had to read the book first before I saw the movie. And once I read the book, I immediately went “Oh my god… this is absolutely amazing.” Basically never putting it down once. The Maze Runner is also a series like The Hunger Games and Divergent. It is definitely not as cliche as you may think it is. (Next part I’m talking about is parts that I didn’t like from the movie, some of them maybe spoilers so if you don’t want to read those, only if you want to, you can skip through it)

Now with the movie, the movie did do the book quiet some justice if I don’t say so myself. I saw the movie people would definitely understand the premiss of it for people who haven’t read the book, but for the people who have read the book, some might be a little upset. Like I was upset when it didn’t show that Thomas and Teresa could mind read with each other throughout the time they were with each other in the glade. I also didn’t like how Thomas told Newt, Minho, Chuck and Teresa at one point all of the secrets Teresa and Thomas have been hiding. And I definitely missed the part where Newt was supposed to have his limp in the movie. Which was actually one of the reasons why I fell in love with Newts character in the first place. (Newt is played by Thomas Brody Sangster who is a British actor, age 24, and he is one hot hunk of a dude)

I also didn’t like when Ben and Minho came out of the Maze and they talked to Thomas and Chuck as Chuck was showing Thomas around and near the maze. I liked in the book that they just passed by but when they talked, it just kind of ruined the mood of it all, well for me anyway. Another part I didn’t like was in the book, where the maps were written on paper and not on a 3D diagram. And when the maps were burned in the book, they were never burned in the movie which is kind of disappointing because that would’ve been the cool part to see.

A part I did like though was the cool addition they added when Thomas wrote his name on the maze wall along with other names that were on there. That was definitely a cool part. Another part I really liked was the ending. It was so on point with the Epilogue it was mind blowing to me and it was awesome!

So that was my review, comment below tell me what you think of The Maze Runner and tell me who are you’re favorite characters and what not. AND WHO’S EXCITED FOR THE SCORCH TRAILS TO COME OUT TO THE MOVIES ONE DAY?! I’M SO EXCITED! 😀 Well, till next time…
