Here’s another song that I’ve been having stuck in my head… this has been happening to me a lot lately. I have one part of a catchy song stuck in my head and then I listen to the song for a while until I get another song in my head. I also realized that it happens in the middle of the week and I randomly started singing “It’s your birthday every day with me. And I make her hand rocky ASAP. It’s your birthday every day with me. And I make her hand rocky ASAP.” I don’t know why I just randomly started singing it in my head. This song does repeat a lot, like other songs but I honestly don’t mind because it is Ariana and I love her to death. I really hate the beginning voices of the song… I don’t know why but it just makes me cringe. I also usually hate when rappers are featured in songs sometimes because artists never pick good ones at all. But for some reason, I really like A$AP Ferg haha. I have no idea why but if you haven’t heard of this song, it’s on Ariana’s second studio album, My Everything along with popular songs Problem (ft. Iggy Azalea), Break Free, Love Me Harder and new single, One Last Time. I will review this album for all of you to see eventually, but for now, enjoy the song that I have had stuck in my head as the new Song of the Week 🙂
I just think Tyler is the sweetest thing in the world and this video made me want to cry (in a good way). Not also just saying because he is one of my favorite Youtubers, but because he does this on his birthday to help others and not just asks things for his birthday. For those of you who don’t know, Tyler is a 25 year old (soon to be 26) Youtuber. He’s been on youtube for so many years that I’ve lost count and he is the cutest and sweetest thing. His video made me want to cry because he’s doing anything he could to help save people’s lives on his birthday. And the grand prize for the person who donates the most, or if you just donate only ten dollars, you’ll have a raffle ticket to enter in the prize to go to VidCon with a VIP pass and all expense paid trip to Anaheim, California for the event! I really do want to donate because other lives matter as well as your own and you should too! And if your someone who is in trouble, everyone else and I love you and you are an amazing person and I would do anything to help you because all lives matter :). So every week I’ll be posting the “Song of the Week” It will probably be a song I have stuck in my head and want to share it with everyone, or it’s a song at the top of the charts. But this time it’s both. This song of the week is Uptown Funk. From those of you who know, it’s been on the top singles chart at #1 for weeks and weeks since its been released and it’s probably stuck in everybody’s heads. I never really liked the original until I listened to Fifth Harmony’s version who sang it with their opening acts for their first headlining tour. But I actually bought the original a lot. This is literally the cutest thing in the world. With celebrities Carrie Underwood, Sam Smith, Ariana Grande, One Direction, Christina Aguilera, Meghan Trainor, Usher and Blake Shelton along with the best, Jimmy Fallon and the Roots singing Queen’s “We Are the Champions”. It is probably one of the cutest videos I’ve ever seen. Carrie Underwood and Sam Smith’s voices sounded really good together. Even though they’re completely different genres in music, I think it would be really cool if they made a duet or just sang together. As well as Carrie’s voice being the best and beautiful as always. She sounded heavenly. They have pretty good harmonies with each other. Ariana and her whistle notes always rock. Blake Shelton’s little part was adorable and it made me laugh when Jimmy made a motion to make it look like he was flipping the screen from Blake’s solo to Usher.
I feel like the boys from One Direction should’ve had their own solo. I mean, c’mon, everybody would have loved to hear Zayn sing a high note in the song or any of the other boys. But what really got you into it was when Niall, Harry and then Liam started swinging along to the song and you couldn’t help but swing along with them and it made me laugh. Niall is cute as always and always makes these cute adorable faces when he’s singing and Harry looks like he’s trying to not burst out laughing along with Niall.
Zayn looked so happy it made me happy and Louis and Liam we’re just adorable and really wish I could hear their voices more in the song. Otherwise, it was very cute and funny if you need a good laugh or your having a bad day, you can watch this video. Jimmy Fallon is probably one of the best and my favorite comedians. Now I see how Katy Perry dissed Taylor Swift. I remember her saying that she was going to dis Taylor in some sort of way but now I understand how she did it and it wasn’t lyrically. I actually love both artists to death and it kind of sucks that they don’t like each other. I actually have loved Taylor more than Katy. (Just putting it out there that Taylor is my idol, my queen and my everything. I love Katy but Taylor is my idol.) What Katy did was that she went all out on her performance. She performed a mashup of her hits like Roar, Teenage Dream, California Gurls, I Kissed A Girl, Dark Horse, Firework (from what I can remember) She made it very theatrically. Maybe went a little bit too extreme and out there. But that’s what Taylor and Katy do. I’ve only been to one Katy concert and three Taylor concert’s. They were all awesome, no doubt. Taylor’s Speak Now World Tour was literally the bomb. I don’t think any of her other tours can beat it unless the 1989 World Tour can. I went on Katy’s Prismatic World Tour and it was sooo much fun and beautiful. I don’t know why Katy want’s to be higher than Taylor. They’re both great artists and make great music. But I guess since Taylor is more into to pop music and Katy is one of the top people in pop music, I guess they would have to have some rivalry for number one.
And just because of Katy’s performances, her albums Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection, PRISM, PRISM (Deluxe Version), One Of the Boys, Teenage Dream are #5, #8, #12, #16 and #18 in the Top Album US Charts just because of her performance. I did love her performance no doubt. The graphics on the ground she was standing on were sick, also when she flew in the air. But it’s not a Katy Perry concert if she flies in the air, as well as Taylor.
Now Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliot. I thought Lenny Kravitz was better than Missy Elliot. One reason being it was really cute of him singing I Kissed A Girl (I think?). I didn’t like though that she grinded her butt up against Lenny Kravitz when she got up from the ground. That was a little gross. I love you Katy but please don’t get into that stuff… I’m begging you. But other than that, she was clean and in my opinion, she seems like the only clean person in Pop Music today besides Taylor Swift.
Missy Elliot I didn’t like that much. I guess because I wasn’t that much of a fan of rap. Besides that, I could barely hear a word she was saying. Either her mic was low, she wasn’t singing into it, or she was rapping and it was inaudible. The performance’s we’re cute and awesome overall. What did you think of Katy’s halftime performance? So today was the day I thought I was going to meet Fifth Harmony for the second time. Well… that really didn’t go as well as I planned. You see, they had an album signing and today they were releasing physical copies of their CD of their first album and it doesn’t even come out until Tuesday. They also said that the mall was going to sell 700, which was the most they ever had. So I told my Dad about it and he said he would take me. Today comes… we leave the house around six ten in the morning. Mind yourself that I live in Brooklyn. We had to take a bus to the Kings Highway train station, take that to Penn Station and then Penn Station to Woodbridge Train Station then take a cab to the mall. That took… I say maybe a good three hours because we got there at nine. I wanted to leave earlier but my Dad wouldn’t let me. Well, let’s just say, that didn’t end well.
I thought there were about 200 people there but I was so wrong. I waited on line for another three hours. Some of the girls we’re even singing BO$$ really loud because they had gotten speakers. SOome of these girls had really terrible voices by the way. You know, you have those nice, sweet fangirls that care about one another. Then there are those other ones we’re they’re just obnoxious and only care to get noticed by celebrities or they’re just crazy and obsessive… I saw ALL of that i ONE day. It was insane. Because they’re were some girls that were really nice and other’s that we’re really mean. Most of them were obviously from New Jersey and maybe a handle of the crowd were guys that we’re actual fangirls.
Then when we actually got to the store where they were selling the CD’s, (FYE) I was literally across from it. But then suddenly, they started to close the gate to the store. Everyone was so devastated. I didn’t cry that much, but I felt SOOO bad for this one girl. This girl, had to be around my age, was on the other side by the store. She was just about to go in until the cut the line off, saying that they we’re sold out of CD’s and wristbands. She literally started to bawl because probably waited even longer than I did and I felt terrible for her. Because I had already met them, so I felt terrible for her.
Afterwards, I was still upset but my Dad and I went downstairs to go see when the girls come. They wouldn’t let us wait on the sides because the mall had just opened and people we’re walking on the sides. So we all shoved ourselves in Century 21. Then the security guard came towards us and said rudely “You can’t block the entry way, it’s a fire hazard. People need to enter and exit.” and then there was this girl behind me who got really annoyed (like pissy annoyed) and then people kept doing it which got the security guard even more pissed. The second or third time he was like “What part of clear do you not understand?”
Then the girl behind me, once music started playing, she was being rude back to the security guard and was like singing Boss and Sledgehammer really loud back at him and everybody was looking over at her like she was insane (which I thought she was). (They also literally played the full album at least three times before they came in. It was originally supposed to start 12 but they had another radio station meet and greet and Q and A somewhere from what I saw on twitter). After a few more minutes of her singing loudly, and literally right into my ear, as well as her basically pushing me and grinding me with her jacket. Just as I was about to say something to her, they kicked us all out of the store and we waiting on the side anyway. I got see the girls come in only slightly until some girl pushed her way up front and I really just wanted to kill her right there because I was already upset and she was obnoxious and tall and blocking my view.
So me and my Dad went upstairs to see if we can get a better view of the girls but upstairs was already crowded as it is. But then my Dad asked this lady if I can stay were she was and she was really sweet and let me. My Dad let me stay there an hour or so watching the girls sign autographs to other people. But it was actually kind of fun up there, trying to get the girls attention. Ally waved to me and so did Dinah and Camila. Then, there was this guy that was across from me and he literally screamed “Ally!! I love you Ally! ALLY SLAY ME!” I couldn’t stop laughing and it made me feel a little bit better. When I was up there as well, there was this little girl standing next to me that didn’t get to meet them either and I felt bad for her too and I wanted to see them as much as possible. But I even got a lot of good pictures of them and a small video of them walking in until that girl blocked my view. It wasn’t that much of a pleasant experience but I have advice for you if you ever want to go to you’re favorite band or artist album signing:
Don’t go to a signing or meet and greet that is not near your city or town range unless you have a car. If you have to take buses and trains, leave EXTREMELY EARLY IF POSSIBLE. Also, beware of fangirls. We’re all nuts, we can’t help it. But there are some crazy ones out there. And I swear every time I come to one of these things, I’m the only one wearing their merchandise because if I met them, I was hoping they would recgonize me if I wore the same outfit I met them the first time (creepy, and a little stupid i know but I was just hopping to get noticed like a bunch of other girls we’re that day.) But I did feel happy when I saw some girls crying when they met the girls because they were shaking so badly when they left and crying as they came up to them, it was so cute. But take my advice or else don’t bother going unless you have a car. My Dad doesn’t drive and my Mom couldn’t take me cause she was sick and she would never do that sort of thing anyway. But if you have a car, go anywhere to your hearts content, it would make you’re life a thousand times easier. Also what really made my day was when Ally, Dinah and Camila we’re all dancing to Reflection at one point. I also didn’t stay that long. My Dad made me leave an hour later or so and we had to catch the train to go back to penn station. At least I didn’t go their for nothing. And also, another band called Suite 44 was there. They’re really sweet if you talk to them on twitter @suite44music. I don’t know much about them yet until one of the band members, Michael, followed me on twitter. They actually performed before the girls came on. I didn’t get to see them because I was still waiting on line, but they weren’t bad at all. I’m in school…. at 8:00am…. just to take a damn rejent. Do any of you take rejents or like final exams like me? Ever failed them? Well, I’m a Senior in High School and this is my THIRD TIME taking this Global History rejent. I wish I could keep the test so I can rip it to shreds, throw it in the fire and make the ashes turn into smoke.
I’m not the only one thats failed it because it is so hard and terrible. But I’m surrounded… by juniors and sophmores. Hope someone kills me so I don’t have to take this test. And I haven’t studied the material since sophmore year.
And there’s an essay part! I did well about that the second time…. but I’m probably gonna guess everything and wing it again. I’m kind of stressed out though and get it over it. Do you do anything for tests? Have you taken the same thing twice or maybe even more??
