Stream Con NYC: Oct. 30th, 2015

This was definitely one of my favorite experiences. I’ve heard about Stream Con at the beginning of 2015. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go or not because the only youtuber I knew that was going was Louise so I decided to put it off for a while until they announced more youtubers. Then, later during the year they announced Connor Franta, Rosanna Pansino, Ricky Dillon, James Maslow (From Big Time Rush) and one of my favorite youtubers of all time, Joe Sugg. Since Joe was going I decided I had to go because I’ve always wanted to meet Joe and this was his first meet up event in NYC. So I got as many meet and greets as I could and a weekend ticket. My badge came in the mail a week before Stream Con and I had printed out all my meet and greets and I was ready to go.

Friday wasn’t that much because most of my meet and greets were on Saturday instead of Friday. But I really wanted to see Grace Helbig and Mamrie Hart’s show happening that night. So we got to the Javits Center (where Comic Con is also held is well but obviously not the same day.) and I really wanted to see Grace Helbig and Hannah Hart’s premiere of what there will be their new show of Electra Woman and Dyna Girl. So we get our wristbands and a map of the place. Before that happened, we went towards the meet and greet area where there were rows and rows of tables and signs above that said Meet and Greet 1 to like Meet and Greet 13 or something like that.

Some girls gave me free meet and greets for Lauren Giraldo, Timmothy DeLaGhetto and Taryn Southern. I knew of Lauren and Timmothy but I didn’t know Taryn that well but she was really nice. I took selfies and regular pictures with everyone (since they allowed regular cameras as well). Lauren followed me on twitter when I met her and took a selfie on my phone.

After the meet and greet, we went to see grace and Hannah. I didn’t actually know that Hannah was going to be there since she wasn’t on Stream Con’s guests list but I guess since it was her show too with Grace, she had to be there. They then premiered three episodes and we couldn’t have our phones out because they didn’t want any spoilers to be put on social media.

After that, we waited a while before we went to a theater area for Grace and Mamrie’s show. It took a while before they actually came on stage since Mamrie was a little sick so I understand that. I couldn’t stay for the rest of the show though because there was a cab waiting for us outside. It sucked but there was nothing that we could’ve done about it. But overall, it was pretty fun and Grace and Mamrie definitely know how to put on a show. They interacted with fans and have them compete in a little contest and took selfie’s with them on stage, it was great.

I’m going to write another post about the second day because I don’t want this to be too long. I also did more stuff on Halloween since it was my busiest day at Stream Con so I don’t want to overwhelm everyone with all of this information. But, below are my pictures from meeting Lauren, Timmothy and Taryn as well as a picture from Grace and Mamrie’s show :). I also wore my O2L shirt both days because you know, why not right?

Meeting Louise Pentland (aka Sprinkle of Glitter) – Oct. 16, 2015

Another book signing in the same book store that I had met Connor Franta in. It was also the same week Tyler Oakley was doing his book signing, but I couldn’t go because it was a school day. But thank god Louise’s signing was on a Friday and I even had a day off from school as well.

I had slept over my Dad’s house the night before so I could go into work with him. We got to his store around 6 o’clock and I honestly didn’t know if there were going to be a lot of people there or not (since I didn’t know how popular Louise was in the States since she is from the UK.) I walked to the book store around 8ish… the store wouldn’t open until 10 and I was the first person there to actually buy Louise’s book. When the store finally opened, a staff member lead me to the cash register and gave me a two wristbands and two books because I didn’t know if my Dad needed one for the signing.

After that, I went back to my Dad’s store and waited a long time before it was finally time to go back to the bookstore around five o’clock since the signing started at six. Surprisingly, there weren’t that many people there which I was happy about because Connor’s signing I had to wait hours and hours on a line to finally get the chance to meet him. I was probably maybe 10th or 11th person in line and if I gotten there early enough, I could have probably been the first person in line but I didn’t mind.

Everyone that came was pretty much girls and my Dad was the only man that showed up which was pretty funny since a lot of girls had their Mom’s or girl friends. But it was around 6:10 when Louise finally came out and came on a stage where there was a table with her book. She was so sweet and said that since there weren’t that many of us, she said that she would chat with us for a while while signing her books.

When it was my turn after a few minutes, I came over to her and said “Oh a Caspar Lee top!” (I was wearing a black Caspar sweater and had a Pointless Blog tee shirt underneath. I should’ve taken off my sweater since I was really hot but didn’t bother because I knew she liked the sweater. As I was meeting her, I told her to sign the other book I had for my best friend, Kate, who is away at College for her birthday since her birthday was only a few days away. She said of course and as she was signing it, she said “I’m going to do fancy font ready ready… it’s so fancy. I’m just going to do the H, don’t go too crazy.” and then she wrote Happy Birthday Kate at the beginning of the book. I also told her I was going to see her at Stream Con (it’s like Vidcon but for NYC.) I also told her that I had the same name as Zoe (Zoe Sugg.) and for her to tell Zoe I said Hi and she said “Of course!” And then  we took our picture and I hugged her goodbye and it was great. I wish all book signings were like that but since so many other youtubers are so much more popular, it’s literally impossible. But below is my picture and video with Louise! 🙂 12096634_892360394191051_4260759441102296803_n

The Vamps Meet Up in NYC – Oct. 11, 2015

This meet up was just absolutely insane. The Vamps tweeted out that they were doing a meet up and singing their new song/single acoustically (Rest Your Love) in the middle of Times Square. I had to beg my Dad to take me because he knows how much I love The Vamps and taken me to a few stuff of theirs before in the past. So he finally said yes. For a day in October, it was really hot. They said to meet by the big red stairs that over casts some parts of Time Square and they are not easy to miss. The problem was… there were thousands… and thousands… and THOUSANDS of people there just visiting Times Square and not expecting a British boy band to pop up out of no where. What really sucked is that I should’ve stayed on the ground and not the stairs because then I would’ve gotten closer to the boys during their performance.

People were somewhat annoyed, trying to get through the big crowd that was in the middle of Times Square. Before they performed though, they took selfies with everyone and I didn’t even bother to try to reach them because it was literally impossible. My Dad eventually let me go into the crowd as he followed behind me from a few feet away. I got to see from a decent distance but could only see Connor and James’s head, which I honestly didn’t mind. I couldn’t see Brad or Tristan at all since Brad was on the other side and Tristan was sitting on his drums.

They sang two acoustic songs, Wake Up and Somebody To You. You couldn’t really hear them that well but a lot of the crowd was singing along and it was somewhat quiet since everybody wanted to hear them sing. I was soooo close to being in James vlog but a really tall dude (Who I assume was their security guard) was blocking James view from seeing me.

But after the performances, they took selfies with everyone but Connor, Brad and Tristan ran off towards a hotel not to far from the spot but they either left James behind or James wanted to stay behind. He took pictures with fans and signed autographs, it was really sweet. I eventually got to James after pushing and shoving. I handed him my phone and asked if we can take a picture. I had to lean over at an awkward angle since there were so many people surrounding the poor guy. But he was so nice and after the picture, I literally had to shove through the crowd just to get out of there. I would’ve followed the boys to their hotel but so many fans were doing that already I didn’t want to seem rude. But I did achieve my goal at getting a selfie with at least one of the boys. I really hope they come back to NYC so I could see them again soon. 🙂

The Vamps live July 30th, 2015

This honestly has to be one of my favorite concerts especially since it was the first time I had seen The Vamps live for the first time. (The Vamps are a British boy band by the way.) I had seen them at an intimate show in 2014 but this was my first time experiencing the real deal. I had bought Before You Exit (the opening band) meet and greet as well as The Vamps. I checked in with The Vamps but also really wanted a BYE VIP Laminate but I couldn’t get one since I didn’t check in with them… Funny story, when BYE’s meet and greet went on sale, I had accidentally bought the Boston VIP instead of the NYC one. So that was a whole ordeal to get them to change the city so they just switched my names on the list which I was very happy about.

But anyways, the day of the concert… it was pouring like crazy. By crazy, I mean a monsoon. This was also at the Best Buy theatre, like the Fifth Harmony concert I went to so we were stuck in that ally way once again. So now that it was raining, it was really hot and it was the middle of summer. We had to wait in line for a lot of hours and they even took our water bottles away before we even went into the venue. We didn’t even get to be hydrated while waiting in line for another hour or so, it was a little ridiculous.

Anyways, we finally got into the venue with our limited wristbands and laminates and entered the theatre area. Some of us, including me, took a spot by the stage for The Vamps q and a while others waiting in line by the Vamps background for their meet and greet picture. I waited by the stage and as we were waiting for the band, their openers, The Tide, were fixing around their stage equipment. For those who don’t know The Tide, they’re names are Drew Dirsken, Levi Jones, Nate Parker and Austin Corini. (Check them out on on their youtube channel. They only have maybe two original songs but sing a lot of good covers.) Levi and Drew were on stage and Levi was by my side and I shouted “Hi Levi!” and he looked towards me and waved as I was waving towards him. I still hate myself that I never got it on camera but I still remember it so that’s a good thing haha.

Eventually, The Vamps finally came on stage and Brad and Connor were on my side (which I loved) and James and Tristan were sitting on amps on the other side of the stage. They answered questions for about ten minutes or so and then it was time for the meet and greet. They are so cute and sweet and I hugged all of them. I got to tell them how much I loved them and get this. For my meet and greet, I asked Connor (who is my fave… I seem to have a thing for bass players and drummers apparently…) if he could pretend to propose to me and he said “Of course!” Then I turned to him when it was time to take the picture and I put my hands over my mouth, to pretend like I was in shock. Connor then said “Awwww that face!!” I was literally dying. Also, during their meet and greet, you got to hear The Tide soundcheck which was really cool (especially since I like them a lot) and they did that at most concerts from what I’ve heard before.

As I said bye to them, I asked my Aunt to save me a good spot by the stage as I ran to Before You Exit’s meet and greet, which was obviously in a different location and I had a little trouble finding it but did eventually and thankfully, I was on time. I didn’t have a laminate, but they knew my situation so I didn’t have to worry about that and made a few friends in line. One of the things I actually really hate at the best buy theatre is that once the meet and greet was over, they force you out, loosing your good spot by the stage and they make you line up outside the door to where the show takes place until doors open. It really sucks because that also happened at the Fifth Harmony concert I went too. I think they should really change that policy because it’s a little ridiculous and people were complaining about waiting for hours on line and not getting front row to going into the back because the staff forced them out. I thought it wasn’t fair either but I still did get a good spot, second row of general admission on Jame’s side so it wasn’t too terrible.

Then BYE was a little quick because it was literally right before the show and I had told them I had met them before at their mall show in Roosevelt Field (which was a lot of fun besides the stupid fashion show that nobody was interested in) and Connor said “Really?!” and I said “Yeah!” and he even asked me for my name and I was too nervous and excited that i never got to say it to him. (Nice going Zoe.) In Before You Exit, the members are Connor, Riley and Toby McDonough who are brothers, FYI.

When the concert finally started, it never stopped being energetic. The order of the concert from what I remember was Before You Exit, The Tide and then The Vamps. All three put on amazing shows and Tristan (from The Vamps) god he is so talented. When he had his own drum solo before their song Last Night, it literally blew me away. He was so into it and killed it so hard, I absolutely loved it. What I loved about The Vamps concert, was that even thought they have four members of their band, they each showed their individuality by singing a song by themselves with the other members as back up or just totally solo. Brad sang Shout About It on guitar with everyone in the crowd singing along. Connor had a little solo in a song but didn’t really have much but didn’t seem to mind. James sang the song he wrote called Move My Way. It was very lovely and The Vamps put on the best shows.

I’ve always seen videos of their concerts and always wanted to go to one. Their shows are so much fun. Also below are my meet and greet pictures with Before You Exit (Taken on my phone) as well as The Vamps. Do you have a favorite song of either bands? Tell me in the comments below! 🙂

Kelly Clarkson concert Meeting Pentatonix: July 17th, 2015

This was my first time going to concert at Radio City Music Hall and let me tell you that it is a beautiful theatre. I really hope I get to go there again because the sound system was great and the staff was lovely. Anyways, we got there quiet early… and by early, I mean really early. My Aunt and I were the first ones in lines for Pentatonix’s meet and greet. I’m usually never the first in line for a meet and greet so this was a first.

We checked in and they lead us to what was almost the basement of the theatre and it was beautiful, rugged floors, vending machines, beautifully designed walls, everything. We had our VIP laminates and there was a Pentatonix background and a desk on the side with five chairs. The person in charge of the meet and greet told us instructions and that we weren’t allowed to hug them or anything. But after our pictures, they would sign one thing for us and we can give them gifts and what not.

Eventually, Pentatonix came out from a side door of the room and everyone cheered as they lined in front of their background for the meet and greet. They told us to put our stuff behind one a table that was a feet few away. I was very nervous because I’ve been listening to PTX since 2013 and never got to go to one of their concerts until now. When I walked forward to them they all said “Heyyyyyyy” simultaneously, it was great. I was fangirling because it was like at the end of one of their videos and you can hear Avi’s deep voice and just gah… it was great.

I didn’t have time to think of a pose and I didn’t really want one but they were so sweet and caring. I just love them so much. Once every one was done with their pictures, they lined us up again in the same order and whoever you were with, you got to spend your own time with the group as they signed stuff and took gifts. I thought that was a very nice way of doing it and it was unique in a way because not many meet and greets have the time where you can talk to your favorite artist for a short period of time.

In the order that they were sitting in, it was Avi, Kirsti, Scott, Mitch and Kevin. I gave them all the letters that I had written for them and I each gave them two, as individually and in a group so they could all read the same ones. I even get Scott and Mitch their own for Superfruit and how much I loved their youtube channel. (For those who don’t know, Superfruit is the best show on the internet… their words, not mine.) And then I had told Kevin that he had answered one of my questions during his Q+A video snapchat. I had asked him where in the world where would he want to visit that he hasn’t been to before (on facebook) and he replied with Dubai. Then he realized it was me and was like “Hey! It’s so lovely to finally meet you!”

Then they gave us a signed posted and then we left to wait for the concert. We didn’t have to go back outside, which was great, and then we waited for the concert to start. During PTX’s set, only a few girls and I were standing since mostly everyone was sitting when they came on. But I was one of the only three girls that stood in my section. They were absolutely mind blowing. If you have seen their videos, of course they are fantastic but when you see them live, it is a thousand times better. What made me so happy was that for their Michael Jackson Medley, they had gotten a standing ovation because everybody loved it. They even sang their cover of La La Latch, a few originals, their new cover Cheerleader and many more.

Now when Kelly came on, the crowd went nuts. Of course I did as well because I do love Kelly but that was besides the point. There wasn’t a single person sitting and Kelly really knows how to put on a show. She sang a mixture of old songs and a lot of new ones, which I had liked and sang a few of my favorites as well such as Stronger, My Life Would Suck Without You and Dance With Me. The crowd was singing along and Kelly was dancing on that stage with bare feet. I never saw anyone perform without shoes on before so that was a first. But she was just dancing and having a good time and interacting with the crowd, it was great. Below is my meet and greet picture with Pentatonix 🙂 Tell me in the comments below what your favorite Pentatonix and or Kelly Clarkson song? Have you seen them live before as well? Tell me your experiences :).

R5 Live with Kelly and Michael

It was a few days before the show and my best friend’s sister, Alanna, asks me if I want to go see R5 with her on Kelly and Michael. I of course, almost immediately, said yes because R5 is one of my favorite bands and it would also be one of my first times on a TV show. I’ve been on Regis and Kelly when I was younger but I don’t remember much of it. But since my friend’s Uncle used to work at Regis and Kelly, he was able to get us VIP tickets. We had to be there before 7:30 in the morning (on July 16th, 2015) so we can nab a good seat. And if we were there after that, they probably wouldn’t have been able to let us in.

They  then called Alanna’s name after a while of waiting in the lobby. A lady led us to a hallway and we can see a TV showing R5 sound checking on the TV. (This was my second time seeing R5 since I had saw them at their show once before in 2014.) But it was her first time seeing the band so she was really excited as well. The same lady that led us to the hallway, let us go through backstage to where the show was being filmed… and there they were… as we were walking past the stage of where artist perform on the show, there was Ross, Rocky and Riker. Of course we can see Ellington and Rydel in the back as well.

They gave us the closest seats to the stage and we watched them sound checking for a while before they went backstage and soon enough Kelly and Michael came out. We were trying to get Kelly’s attention (because my friend is close with Kelly) so she can see us. It was near the middle of the show and Kelly finally came over to us. We said hi to here and then she said “I didn’t know you guys were such big R5 fans.” (We were wearing the only R5 shirts we had and our guitar pic necklaces. I also remember at one point when Rydel waved at us because I had waved at her and she noticed me.) Before they performed, they’re Dad, Mark was sitting on the stairs next to us and we got to talk to him for a while. He was so nice and really cool to talk too. (Their Dad is their tour manager who travels with them for those who don’t know.)

Then we watched R5 perform All Night and it was so cool to be at a live TV performance and see all the stuff that happens behind the scenes with all of the que cards and camera men. After the performance, Riker, Ross and Ellington came to the crowd of girls by the stage and Ellington handed drumsticks to the girls behind us and Ross took a few selfies. Riker gave us guitar pics (which I still have by the way) and Riker took a selfie on my phone with me and it was the coolest thing (especially cause Riker is my favorite.) And during their performance, you can see my friends and I on TV it was the coolest thing.

But I don’t remember if it was after their first or second performance but during that time, another lady with a headset called Alanna’s name and then she lead us towards the green room. We weren’t really sure what was happening as we waited in another little hallway by the green room.

It wasn’t until a few minutes later until Ellington walked in and we didn’t even have time to process what was happening. What he first said to us was “Nice shirt’s girls.” and we were like “Thanks!” Then he gave each of us high fives before walking back into the green room. A few seconds later, the lady gave us the okay to walk into the green room and there was R5… casually chilling and saying hi to us as we walked in. It was quiet amazing. I was also really in shock to actually have the chance to meet them since at their concerts, meet and greets are literally the hardest thing to get.

We each gave them a hug and I was so nervous to actually talk to them. After we hugged them all, I gave someone my phone to take a picture of us with R5 I don’t remember much of what was said but what I remember of my conversation of Ross and Ellington was “You guys are so much taller in person.” And that is all I said. I couldn’t believe myself. That was all I said. But they’re responses were pretty hilarious from what I remember.

“It’s because we eat our vegetables.” I think it was Ross that said that.

“And it’s also because we drink our milk.” Ellington replied and before we know it, it was time for us to go since they  had a plane to catch because they had a concert that night or the next day.

We then watched the rest of Kelly and Michael and it was so much fun. I can’t wait to go on their show again one day or on any other TV show. The TV show I’m really dying to go on is the Today Show or GMA. Have you guys ever been to a TV show taping before? If so, tell me in the comments below! Also, below will be our meet and greet picture with R5 and the guitar pic Riker had given me as well as our selfie with Riker. 🙂

Taylor Swift concert – July 11th, 2015

Now this, definitely has been one of the best days of my life. I first bought the tickets at the beginning of November, my Mom and Grandma had gotten me B-Stage floor seats and I was ecstatic. It was my third time seeing Taylor but the first time having floor seats. Flash forward to the day of the concert at Metlife Stadium, second night of the 1989 World Tour at Metlife. Blazing hot summer day and my Mom and I arrive at the stadium around 2pm. We pick up our tickets at the box office. My Mom hates me for leaving this early to a concert but I was just happy to be there.

There was a line that had already formed at the side of the stadium and my Mom bought us a 1989 album blanket for us to sit on on the sidewalk. While waiting for the concert, we can hear Taylor sound checking Welcome To New York blasting really loud. It was incredible. Around 5, 6 o’clock is when they finally let us into the stadium. There was a line up of tables with a bunch of wristbands for all of the B-Stage ticket holders. We get our blue b-stage wristbands and my Mom let’s me run into the stadium so I get a good spot at the b-stage. They let us in first before most people because we had VIP.

I got a spot right side at the corner of the b-stage. It was incredible. This concert was also the first time I got to see Shawn Mendes, who was absolutely mind blowing. He is so talented and an amazing songwriter. During Haim’s set, we saw some stars in a special section that was right behind the b-stage area. There were a lot of models and TV stars that were at Taylor’s concert. I also spotter her brother, Austin and her Dad, Scott. I had always wanted to meet Taylor’s Mom and Dad but i didn’t see Andrea there so I managed to grab a selfie with Scott and it was probably the worst picture ever since I took it and it was over a barricade.

Vance Joy was amazing as well and he got the whole stadium to light up with people’s cell phone lights. It was so pretty. When Taylor came on, I literally lost my mind. She was so beautiful up close and in person and belted her heart out. Everyone in the audience had wristbands that lighted up to the beat of the every song that was played throughout the concert. It was also beautiful when you can hear the whole crowd singing the lyrics to the surprise song she gave us which was You Belong With Me (I’ve seen that song and Love Story live three times. I will never not love those songs.)

And then it was surprise guest time… and Taylor brought out… NICK JONAS. When she said “And he is from New Jersey…” I started freaking out I’ve always wanted to see the Jonas Brothers live (but never got too) and Nick was always my favorite Jonas Brother. When he first came out, I was literally sobbing and my Mom asked me if I was okay and I replied with “NO!”

During Style, Taylor brought out even more special guests such as Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss, Kendall Jenner, Hailee Steinfeild, Uzo Aduba and many more that I can’t seem to remember at the moment. They all walked down the run way during Style. Her outfit changes were incredible and earlier in the concert when she sang Blank Space and did an echo with the crowd as she sang “Boys only want love if it’s torture… Jersey!” It sent chills down my spine. I know the 1989 tour is over, but if you ever have the chance to see Taylor, take it. She puts on the best performances and makes it seem like one big broadway play almost. I love her so much and hope to meet her someday ❤

Meeting Lady Antebellum – May 29th 2015

So this experience was just pure luck. A few weeks before your concert, you can enter for a free meet and greet on Lady Antebellum’s website as long as you had a paid account, which I did. I’ve loved Lady A for at least four or five years now and to have the opportunity to finally meet them was amazing. (I had also seen them in 2014 as well so this was my second time seeing them.) Then a few days before the concert, I get an email saying “Congratulations! You won a Lady Antebellum meet and greet!”

And that’s when the freaking out started happening. It was an amazing moment because I would have never thought I could win. So we get to the venue (Jones Beach’s venue in Long  Island). It was a little bit of a hassle to get the meet and greet at first, since the person in charge of that was really lazy and wouldn’t look through the files and said that my name wasn’t there. But of course it was and he just wasn’t looking hard enough.

If you haven’t been to Jones Beach’s theatre before, it’s a little hard to explain where they led us. But the theatre is surrounded by a body of water and we walked in between seats and a barricade blocking the water and walked us backstage where a few others were lined up as well. They gave us orange meet and greet wristbands. Backstage at that venue was sooo cool. There were a bunch of tables and chairs for the artist and the artist tour crew and they even had their own private buffet and everything. Of course we couldn’t access it but I really wanted to (haha). Soon enough, I look into the distance I see very tall people walking this way and then I say to my Mom “That looks a lot like Charles and Dave.” and it was! Then I could see Hillary come into view and I was just really excited that they were right there in front of me.

Charles though… oh my god he was so freaking tall. He has to be about six foot because he towered over every one. Hillary was three feet taller than me and two feet taller than my Mom especially cause she was wearing heels. Dave said after I hugged them all, “Hey! Nice shirt.”, pointing to my Lady A shirt I had gotten at the concert last year. I said thanks and I don’t really remember much of what was said (I do somewhat remember Hillary saying “Hey yall!” in the cutest accent ever) but I did tell them I was going to be in the Pit area by the stage and Charles said “We’ll look for you there!”

We then went towards the pit area and we were behind two girls at the end of the runway. The openers for Lady A were Hunter Hayes (who I love to death) and new country artist, Sam Hunt. Sam Hunt was pretty impressive and I did know some of his songs. Hunter was on after Sam and was getting everyone excited for Lady A. He pretty much sang all of my favorite songs of his and it was basically my first Hunter concert (I’ve always wanted to see Hunter live.) Before Lady A though, the girl who was standing in front of me, made sure to give me her spot since she only wanted to see Hunter and Sam’s performances, which I was really grateful for.

When Lady Antebellum came on… they were so much better and more amazing than the first time I saw them. They did sing a lot of old songs, which I liked. But I really did want to hear new songs. But during the concert, each of them found me at the end of the runway. Dave gave me one of his guitar pics during Freestyle, Charles grabbed my hand as well as Dave and Hillary waved at me during one of the songs. It was incredible. They were so sweet and I definitely can’t wait to see them again soon. (I also might even be seeing them for my birthday this year in New Jersey.) 10532129_836925329734558_6547268018088008950_o

Meeting Connor Franta – April 24th 2015

This was definitely one of my favorite days ever even though it went by sooo fast. I had to beg my Dad to take me to Connor’s book signing at the Barnes and Noble in Tribeca. The good thing was though, the store that he works in was only a few blocks away from there. I went to work with my Dad early that day and walked to Barnes and Noble myself to pick up the book to get a wristband and wait online. There were a lot of people there already and I was maybe the 200 or 300 person in line and it was maybe 9 am. The staff all gave us chocolate milk as we were waiting because it was somewhat cold even though it was April.

I then went up the escalator that led to a book store and they gave us wristbands once we had purchased the book. The book signing didn’t start until six o’clock and that was the time my Dad had finished working. I also didn’t mention that after some people got their wristbands, they actually stayed on the line afterwards so they would be the first to meet Connor.

The line wrapped around at least four times and there were over a thousand people and they let maybe ten to fifteen people into the store at a time. It wasn’t until eight or nine o’clock when I actually finally got into the store, it was crazy. There was a few security people there and I saw people crying as they left the line with tissues and books in their hands. I was getting nervous as I saw that Connor was behind a big book shelf in between velvet rope that was keeping all the girls and a few guys in a single filed line. They didn’t allow phones out so I had to put mine in my leggings pocket (and I really wished that I had audio recorded me meeting him but was so nervous that I forgot too.)

There was a guy there that was holding a bunch of gifts and letters for Connor to collect after the meet and greet and I gave the guy my letter that I had written earlier that day in my Dad’s store. I was a few people behind and there was Connor, only a few feet away from me, standing with an adorable beanie and sweater and meeting fans. It was finally my turn to meet him and he said “Hi! How are you?” and I said “Good! Can we do a- oh okay.” I was about to ask him if we can do a hug pose but we kind of did it anyway. Connor leaned down a little bit since he was a lot taller than me, and then I said “You’re the first youtuber that I watched got me into youtube.” or something like that. (Though I did watch Joe Sugg and Jim Chapman first, I watched Connor’s videos more frequently until I got into Joe and Jim later on.) Then he replied “Aw I’m touched.” Then he hugged me again and said bye. A security guard handed me a tissue and a signed book. He was so sweet and I love him so much. ❤ Who is your favorite youtuber? Tell me in the comments below!! Also, here is my picture with Connor when I met him for the first time! (That’s also my face from waiting in the cold for 5 hours or so haha.) 10956398_836925143067910_7446512100978099715_n

Fifth Harmony live – March 23rd 2015

This concert was definitely an interesting experience. I don’t even remember how exactly we got the meet and greet tickets but we did. My friend, Briana and I went to the concert and took the train in with my Mom who dropped us off and stayed with us until they let us in. We waited in this ally way/corridor in between the back end of the Best Buy theatre (which is now called the Play Station theatre for some stupid reason.) Leading across the Best Buy theatre ally way was the back entrance to where the Lion King on Broadway is. It’s a little hard to explain but I hope you get the gist of it. The people in charge of the meet and greet as well as security, kept us behind a barricade that went up and down the ally way. But they kept us towards by the wall so people can keep on passing through. It was a little ridiculous because it was really hot with all of these people crammed up in one space.

Eventually, we were lead into the venue and went down escalators to where the show took place. I don’t exactly when we got our VIP’s and  that came with it since most of this is such a blur to me. But we were lead into the theatre and me and my friend were what you would consider second row in general admission. We were waiting for soundcheck to start and once everyone was in, Camila was the first one to come out and shout “Hello New York!!!” Everyone went nuts and that’s when the other girls came out. They did a q and a and sang two acoustic songs.

Then they lead us out the room once the girls were gone and we waited on this long line for a really long time. I honestly thought they over sold the amount of meet and greets because after the fact, they had let general admission in and my friend and I were all the way in the back of the theatre so we couldn’t even really see. We had too move around enough until we can get a close enough spot. And going through the crowd was not fun.

Anyways, during the meet and greet, Big Rob was there which I thought was extremely cool because I never met Big Rob before and always wanted too. (I have also met 5H before on Demi’s tour in 2014.) I was a little nervous since I haven’t seen them in so long and he asked if I was okay and I replied “Yeah… just a little nervous.” Then he said “It’s okay, you got this.” He said and then he actually rubbed my back! I was mentally fangirling in my mind. Then before I met them, he gave me a high five and it was finally my time to meet the girls. (Lauren is my favorite by the way.) And first I hugged her and Normani and she said “Hello beautiful!” and then I hugged Camila, Dinah and Ally.

I told Camila that she followed me on twitter during one of her follow sprees. Ally then asked “What’s your username?” and I told them that it was “@alrenjaurnandez.” It took Lauren and Ally a little while to get it but then Ally laughed when she realized what I had said. I knew before hand what pose I really wanted to do and since I did have a pose, I got to have a longer time with them then most people. I told them “Can we do the Bernie?” And Lauren was like: “Huh?” But then I said “You know, the dance move you and Dinah do during Sledgehammer?” I then actually had to demonstrate it for her and then she snapped her fingers and said “Oh! That’s right! Guys, do the Bernie!” And then we all leaned backwards and LAUREN’S HEAD WAS ON MY CHEST AND I WAS ON CAMILA’S. IT WAS LIKE THE BEST MOMENT EVER YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND.

I don’t really remember what happened after that until I went over towards Ally and said “I love you guys so much.” and she was like “Awww god bless you beautiful.” and then I got to hug her again (we are basically the same height btw haha.) and then I had to be ushered out because I was taking too much time (whoops haha). So skipping towards the concert, it was actually really fun besides my friend and I moving around constantly and not being able to see all that well. I probably only have one decent video of when we were near the middle part of the general admission area. Their setlist was amazingggg (even though they didn’t sing Body Rock or Them Girls Be Like, but they did sing it on the Summer Reflection Tour.) They’re dance moves were killer and just gah. I love them so much, I really wish I could meet them again. Also during the concert, pretty much every single person in the crowd had their cell phones in the air which was another reason why it was hard to see but we still managed. 🙂11419728_836924719734619_4606730053279882781_n
