Ariana Grande – Dangerous Woman Tour NYC 2/23/17 ft. Victoria Monet and Little Mix

Hi guys! I know I haven’t written a blog in a while but that’s because I haven’t been going to concerts in a while. Crazy, I know. But 2 days ago, I saw my Queen, Ariana Grande live for the third time in a row. I had floor seats so I was super excited. This time I did a little something different from traveling there… by taking the train. Though I usually take the cab to the city with my Aunt, it was much easier and honestly quicker especially since we always leave during rush hour and in New York City, it is basically the worst time to travel, especially on a Thursday.

We arrived at the venue around 6:30 and everyone was being let in at this point since the concert was starting at 7:30 so everyone had time to get to their seats. I didn’t have VIP, sadly, (but hopefully next time I will <3) but the line for merchandise wasn’t that bad when we got there. Usually the people who run concessions at MSG are very fast and consistent, which is one of the reasons I love going there so I got two tee shirts in a matter of ten minutes. I got a Little Mix tee shirt and Ariana Grande tee shirt and just to let you know, Ariana’s tee shirts and sweaters are soooo expensive. I love Ariana, but I am not spending $75 dollars on a sweater when it is almost spring time.

I met up with a friend, who I know through another friend, that I didn’t even know was a fan of Ariana’s so we talked for the time being which made waiting less painful. I got to my seats around 7:00ish and this was my view:

It honestly wasn’t that bad until after the first act where two tall people sat in front of me and an extremely tall person stood in front of my Aunt. Then, the row in front of them, there was extremely tall Mom and her two children later on during the show. I prayed she would sit down during Ariana and I even asked nicely but she said something about her kids, making me roll my eyes since they were pretty tall themselves and they were able to see just fine without standing on chairs… which isn’t even allowed and I was surprised none of the security guards even bothered to ask the woman to let her kids down so that people behind them could see. What was even worse and obnoxious of them to do was that they were all huddled together when they could see Ariana perfectly which I couldn’t so that was really annoying.

Around 7:40 Victoria Monet came on and I was one of the few people that heard of her before because she opened up for Fifth Harmony last summer and I even met her. She performed a couple of songs and she honestly reminded me of a mini Beyonce. Here are some pictures I took during her set.

Then around 8:20ish? I’m not really sure, I don’t really remember the times, Little Mix came on. And if your a big of a Mixer as I am, then you would be fangirling the whole time Little Mix was on their set. I saw them almost three years ago, this coming March, when they opened for Demi Lovato in 2014 and that was the first and only time I ever saw them. I fangirled so much during their set, I was almost out of it before Ariana came on and that says a lot haha. Here are some pics and videos I took during Little Mix’s set <3: (Left to right, Leigh-Anne Pinncock, Jade Thrilwall, Jesy Nelson and Perrie Edwards. 16998150_1261887810571639_1448943568877807247_n.jpg

Around 9:05 is when Ariana come on and I had to say, I was very impressed with her this tour. Her visuals, were incredible and it was definitely a thousand times better than her last tour, the Honeymoon Tour. What I was also really and extremely happy about was that she focused more on her vocals instead of her dancing. Because Ariana is a vocal powerhouse and when she belts out those high notes and whistle tones while she’s dancing, it always affects her singing and usually comes out flat or a little bit messy when she’s finished singing the note. But this time, she almost sounded exactly like her tracks and I was very proud of her for that.

What I also loved during Ariana’s set was the fact that she talked about LGBTQ’s and to be happy and proud of themselves and even had the different colors of people holding hands on the screen during her song Thinking About You. What I loved the most during the concert was the lights visually. They crisscrossed each other and she had the biggest backdrop for moving visuals and it was basically the coolest thing ever. She even stepped it up a notch by having these kind of zebra lights on her but in a blueish, white pattern during Moonlight and other songs and it was pretty freaking cool.

Also during one of her songs, Greedy, she had money confetti falling down from the sky with her face printed on them which was pretty funny. She even said during the middle, near end of the set that she wanted to cry because she loves New York so much and I just wanted to tell her (we love you too Ari!)

I don’t have that many pictures of Ari liked I had liked to but I still took a lot of decent video so I could remember my third Ariana Grande concert. Here are some pics below that I took of Ari:

Not my best but usually out of a batch maybe a 100 photos you can take a concert, of course only a few are going to come out good. Which, of course, happened to me but I’m okay with it. I still had an amazing time and it was one of the best concerts I had went to in a while, besides the tall people standing in front of me. Below, I made a vlogish type video of my Ariana concert with some certain goodish clips so you could get a taste of her concert if your still debating whether to go or not. It is definitely worth the money as long as your not a tall person on the floor and go for the lower level, which I strongly suggest especially when your short like me haha.

And here are some clips I took during Little Mix’s set:

I definitely recommend going to one of Ariana’s concerts, she always blows me away, especially Little Mix as well. I hope they get more recognition now that they are touring in the US and see how many people want them here!
