We waited outside for a while and it was snowing which kind of sucked. And this was in the middle of March and it was still snowing. It was crazy. But then eventually, they let us into the venue and they gave us are VIP laminates. We then waited in two single filled lines and I was so excited to meet them again (I had also met them before in June of 2014 at their mini concert in South Street Seaport.) I had also made a few friends while waiting in line with my Mom which was nice. Soon enough, it was finally my turn to meet Alex and Sierra. I don’t really remember what they said to me, but my Mom was listening in on the conversation and Alex said “It’s great to see you again!” and I was so in shock that they actually remembered me. (Maybe it was because they remembered me from twitter since they follow me? But I’m still not sure how they remembered me haha.)
Then we walked in the back of the little room where the meet and greet was taken place. After all the pictures were taken, we got to have ice cream (since an ice cream party was part of the meet and greet), with a free tote bag and 1o percent coupon off of merch at the show. Then, Alex and Sierra went at the beginning of the line, talking to every single group of people for about 5 or 10 minutes each it was so lovely. When they came over to me and my Mom, my Mom was telling them how much she loved their music and that we would be seeing them in MSG one day in the near future. They laughed and then I asked if they really remembered me from when I met them the year before. Sierra said “Of course we do!” And Alex told my Mom “If it wasn’t for her, we wouldn’t have so many followers on twitter.” Or something like that for their fan base and it was just mind blowing. We then gave them hugs and talked a little more and I told Sierra “You give the best hugs.” (Which was true btw). And then she was like “No, you do!” It was just so amazing.
And then the concert started and I was very impressed with Paradise Fears and Rachel Platten of course but I was on the edge of my seat waiting for Alex and Sierra. They didn’t sing that many songs, maybe about 6 to 8, along with their famous cover of Toxic from their first X-Factor audition. Alex played the electric guitar and Sierra played the tambourine and they also had a back up piano player/DJ and another guitar player. It was very lovely and I don’t have any videos posted because youtube deleted one of my past channels for copyright (whoops….) I do have a picture of my meet and greet (and I also hate that my eyes are closed but i guess it makes a cute picture haha.
I also really did enjoy they’re performance. It was unique and it was my first time seeing them perform with a full on band besides X-Factor. It was mellow, but a few dance songs here and there which made it a nice, small setlist for them. I’ll post a video of one of my favorite songs of theirs and tell me what you think.
