Geronimo – Sheppard

The first time I heard this song was on iTunes Radio a couple of weeks ago. I think I was listening to it because I actually did want to listen to some new pop music and when this came on, I was immediately attached to it. I have also heard it on the radio of couple times and I really liked it. It’s just so good, catchy vibe to it. They are also one of Australia’s top bands that are most popular there. From Iggy Azalea to Sheppard, talent is definitely coming over to the US from Australia. When I looked up who they were I immediately said “Oh no wonder why I like them so much, they’re Indie Pop.” For those of you who don’t know, I really like Indie Pop and Alternative music so whoever is really good in those categories, I already like them. It’s one of those songs where you can easily memorize after listening to it just once or even a couple of times.

Another thing that I also like about this band is that it has more than five members. I don’t know why, when I see a six piece band, I like them even more because they just bring it out the most whenever they sing together and it’s more awesome to see them on stage because they have more energy. Like The Mowglis when I saw them as an opening band, they also have six members. I even looked up the definition of Geronimo and it means “Used to express exhilaration, especially when leaping from a great heigh or moving at a high speed.” So whenever they shout geronimo, you just feel like just doing what the definition says and dance around to it. I also like the two girls that are included in the group because they are really good addition to the group and add a soothing sound to it.

I also just watched the music video, which I’m very confused about. But it is a very good song and I also listened to their “Bombs Away” EP and I am definitely getting their album when it comes out next month because it is pretty awesome. Can’t wait for more songs! Music video is below! 🙂
